SUMMARY:ACTION! Week Assistance League of Boise
DESCRIPTION:ACTION! Week is a week set aside to focus on literacy enrichment in our local schools. School district coordinators  identified a need for suitable reading material for struggling readers who are older\, adolescents and young adults. For 2021\, our ACTION! Week project will seek donations to provide sets of Sound Out books for schools in Ada and Canyon County. The books are unique in that they are chapter books for remedial level readers\, English as a Second Language readers\, etc. in upper grades with age appropriate content. Our hope is to be able to purchase one set for each Title 1 APS elementary school in Ada and Canyon County\, and more if possible. Distribution will be in early March when the donation period has been completed and the books sets have been ordered.
