Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Of The Treasure Valley
The American Cancer Society’s 4th annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of the Treasure Valley (facebook.com/Treasurevalleystrides) is set for Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the beautiful Julius Kleiner Park in Meridian. Making Strides is an uplifting fundraiser/walk that unites the community to support and celebrate breast cancer patients and survivors, educate women and men about the importance of early detection and prevention, and raises funds for innovative breast cancer research, local patient services and resources. Participants can either join our patients, caregivers, families and friends in a leisurely stride around the park and neighborhoods, or kick up the pace and compete in the competitive 5k. Registration begins at 8:30AM. The run is $35, and the walk is free. Donations are also encouraged and appreciated. There will be a food after the race, as well as activities and fun throughout the morning. To register, volunteer, form a team, or for more information, visit: MakingStridesWalk.Org/TreasureValleyID or contact Wendy Fisher; 208-422-0175; TreasureValleyIDStrides@cancer.org The fight to end breast cancer starts with a single step. Join our community and millions of people in other communities nationwide to make sure no one facing breast cancer will ever have to walk alone.
