Small Business Week
The City of Meridian is partnering with the U.S. Small Business Administration, New Ventures Lab and the Meridian Chamber of Commerce to celebrate National Small Business, which is May 1-7, by hosting a workshop for new and aspiring entrepreneurs on Thursday, May 5. This workshop will consist of successful Meridian small business owners sharing their start up stories, experiences, successes and failures for attendees to learn from. This interactive forum will bring new and aspiring entrepreneurs face-to-face with these successful business owners to be able to ask questions and hear how to be a successful small business in today’s competitive economy. The event will also include a free lunch for attendees, paid for by the Mayor’s Office of Economic Excellence.
In addition, Mayor Tammy de Weerd will proclaim May 1-7, 2016 as Small Business Week in Meridian to help commemorate and highlight the impact of outstanding entrepreneurs, small business owners, and others who help contribute to the local economy.
